Beirut hit by more strikes as Israel continues military operations

Thick plumes of smoke were seen rising over Beirut on Friday (March 6) morning as the Israeli military announced they had begun an additional wave of strikes in the Lebanese capital.

The Israeli military said it carried out 26 strikes overnight in the southern suburbs, targeting Iran-backed Hezbollah militia command centres and weapons storage facilities.
