Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the party hopes that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong will consider a royal pardon for former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Ahmad Zahid said that at an Umno buka puasa event at WTC Kuala Lumpur on Friday (April 7), adding that the party supreme council unanimously made the decision at a meeting earlier to seek an audience with the King to present the application.
