Umno to go ahead with legal action against cops over seized monies

Umno will go ahead with legal action to claim the RM116.7mil in cash seized during a recent raid, says party president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
He said the party respects the view of the police but they have initiated legal action to claim the money which was seized. Dr Ahmad Zahid was asked to comment on the application filed by the police to strike out a civil suit by Umno to reclaim the money seized on May 17, stating that the party had no locus in the matter, among others.
