Traffic cops, including department head remanded for suspected bribery

Penang police are giving its full cooperation to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over alleged corrupt practices involving 12 police officers.

Its chief Comm Datuk Sahabudin Abd Manan said they would assist the anti-graft agency in the investigation where police officers with the ranks of Superintendent, Asst Superintendent and Inspector had since been remanded for seven days to facilitate the probe.

The officers, aged between 31 and 59, were produced at the magistrate's court in George Town on Wednesday.
