Stop provocation and check surge of regressive historical trends, says China

Chinese Defence Minister Dong Jun told participants at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum held in the Chinese capital from Sept 15-17 that countries should cease provocative acts and check the resurgence of regressive historical trends in remarks likely to be taken as veiled criticism of Japan.

The participants comprising military officers, diplomats, experts and academicians hoped that the defence event would forge peace and development.
