Not many people know that Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajjah Azizah Maimunah Iskandariah is a huge history buff.

Or that her love and knowledge of history has earned her the moniker “the walking encyclopedia” from her husband, Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

It is this fascination with history that has informed the Queen’s passion for cultural preservation.
