Public must be educated on proper use of medication, says Health Minister

Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa said the Ministry is aware that some individuals prefer to self-medicate by purchasing medicine from community pharmacies, traditional medicine shops and online retailers.

Speaking at the 2023 National Know Your Medicines Conference in Putrajaya on Tuesday (June 20), Zaliha warned that users are at risk of being exposed to harmful effects if they do not have in-depth knowledge of the disease and the suitability of the medicine taken.
