Petronas posts higher 2Q19 earnings, expects lower dividend payout to govt

Petronas president and group CEO Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin says Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) net profit rose 8% to RM14.7bil in second quarter ended June 30, 2019 (2Q19) from RM13.6bil in 2Q18. He expects a lower dividend payment to the government in 2020 compared to the RM54bil paid in 2019.
