Environment and Water Minister Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man told the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (Dec 15) that the Penang government had yet to gazette any of the 3,398.94 hectares of land that are supposed to be turned into water catchment area to better manage the supply of water source in the northern region.

He said other state governments had already done their part, except for the Penang government.

He also hoped that the Penang government would explore more underground water source so that it would be less dependent on the existing water supply.
