Nancy: Existing laws are adequate to protect children

When asked to comment on a slapping case involving a child and a staff at a nursery in Penang, Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri on Monday (July 17) said existing laws were adequate to protect children in the country.

Nancy, who visited a children activity centre in Tasek Gelugor, said laws such as the Child Act 2001 (Act 611) can be used to protect, rehabilitate and care for children.
