Karaj bridge strike: Survivors liken attack to rocks falling on the heads

The Imam Ali Hospital in Karaj in Iran's northern Alborz province was treating survivors of the US airstrikes on the nearby B1 bridge on April 2.

One of the injured survivors who said he grew up in a military family, described the explosions on the bridge as rocks falling from "the mountain, like rain on people's heads".

The bridge, which was a major infrastructure project connecting Karaj to the capital Tehran, was due to be inaugurated later this year and the residents said it was a civilian not a military facility.
