Hundreds arrested after post-poll violence kills at least three in Indian state

More than 1,500 people have been arrested following violent clashes in India’s eastern state of West Bengal after the state assembly elections, which left at least three people dead.
Among the victims was 41-year-old Chandranath Rath, an aide to BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, who was shot dead near his home in Madhyamgram on Wednesday night.
