Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says he personally disagrees with Umno’s decision to pay a RM50 million fine so that Datuk Seri Najib Razak can serve the rest of his jail sentence under house arrest, though he respects the party’s right to do so.

“My personal view is that I disagree, because we should not give the people the impression that corruption involving billions of ringgit can simply be left as it is,” he said to reporters when met after Friday prayers at Masjid Taman Kosas.
