Govt will ensure critical medicine and medical device stocks remain sufficient, says Akmal

The Economy Ministry and Health Ministry will continue working to ensure sufficient supplies of critical medicines and medical devices amid the ongoing global crisis.

Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said during a global supply crisis briefing on Monday (May 25) that stocks of high-risk medicines and medical devices remain stable.

However, he said the government would strengthen regular supply monitoring through a special task force while immediately expanding national stockpiles of high-risk medicines.
