Govt bars unapproved houses of worship, says Anwar

The government has barred the construction and operation of all houses of worship built without official approval, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said on Monday (Feb 9).

He added that local councils now have the prerogative to remove any illegal houses of worship.
