Dr Wee: MCA and MIC to meet in three days

The MCA and MIC top leadership are meeting in three days' time in the run up to Barisan Nasional supreme council meeting, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA president said MCA, MIC and Umno would subsequently meet to decide on the fate of Barisan which they founded together and gained independence for the nation in 1957.

The MCA delegates had at its annual general assembly last Dec 2 passed a resolution to push for the dissolution of Barisan and to forge a new alliance.

Dr Wee said that in response to a reporter’s question, after MCA’s 70th anniversary celebration at the party’s headquarters on Saturday.
