Devotees celebrate Jade Emperor’s birthday

In conjunction with the Jade Emperor’s birthday, devotees in Penang and Ipoh gave their offerings to honour the king of heaven on Saturday night. The Jade Emperor’s birthday falls on the ninth day of the Lunar New Year and is widely celebrated by Chinese Hokkiens.
