Deaf e-hailing driver sues police, government over VVIP escort punch

A hearing-impaired e-hailing driver has filed a civil suit at the High Court against five parties, including the Royal Malaysia Police and the Malaysian government, over an alleged assault by a VVIP escort guard in May 2024.
Ong Ing Keong is seeking damages and a court order requiring sign language interpreters at police stations nationwide.
