Describing Budget 2024 as Madani Budget 2.0 when tabling the budget in the Dewan Rakyat on Friday (Oct 13), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said there should be collective consciousness from all layers of society to steer the country’s economy forward.

He also touched on the inflation rate was only 2% in August 2023, among the lowest in the region, while unemployment rate also went down to 3.4%, which almost matches the pre-pandemic rate (3.3%).
