Bondi Beach shooting suspects linked to Davao and Indian college

Residents of the southern Philippine city of Davao City are dismayed about being stereotyped as a hotbed of Islamic militants after reports that the father-son gunmen from the Bondi Beach attack in Australia stayed at one of its hotels for nearly a month.

The Anwarul Uloom College in the Indian city of Hyderabad also distanced itself from the incident after it emerged that the father was a former student at the institution.
