558 Palestinian students enrolled at local public universities as of Sept last year, says Adam Adli

A total of 558 Palestinian students were studying at Malaysian public universities as of Sept 30 last year, the Dewan Rakyat was told.
Deputy Higher Education Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim said Malaysia remains committed to supporting Palestinian students and ensuring their studies continue without disruption.
He said 375 active students received RM4.3mil in one-off assistance in 2024, covering tuition fees and living expenses, stressing that the fund is a special humanitarian initiative for students affected by the conflict and does not amount to full government sponsorship.
