The George Town magistrate’s court on Wednesday granted a seven-day remand order against 30 individuals including 24 enforcement officers from the Road Transport Department.

The enforcement officers were believed to have received monthly payments, totaling between RM10,000 and RM32,000 as inducement for not taking action against lorry drivers who flouted traffic laws in Penang and leaking information on RTD operations before they were held.
