Zayn Rayyan's mother files appeal against conviction, sentence

The mother of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matin has filed a notice of appeal against the Petaling Jaya Sessions Court that sentenced her to five years' jail for neglecting her autistic six-year-old son.

Lawyer Haresh Mahadevan, representing Ismanira Abdul Manaf, 30, confirmed the notice was filed at the Shah Alam High Court, Selangor .
