Woman claims trial to attempting to cheat Awie’s friend over non-existent concert

A single mother of four pleaded not guilty at the Ampang Magistrate’s Court on Friday (Dec 23) to a charge of attempting to cheat a friend of rock singer, Datuk Awie.

Norhayati Maslinda Chew Asmawie Chew, 44, was accused of trying to deceive Murbarak Akhtar Mohd Aris to transfer money into her bank account to purchase tickets for a non-existent concert.
