WHO declares end of polio outbreak in Malaysia, says Health Minister

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin on Saturday announced that the polio outbreak in the country is now over after the World Health Organisation (WHO) team that comprised a panel of international experts found that Malaysia’s efforts in controlling and preventing the spread of the disease had been successful.
