What is CSA and why does it matter?

Imagine needing another party’s support to stay in power, without bringing it into your government.

That is the idea behind a confidence and supply agreement, or CSA.

The party agrees to support the government on confidence votes and budget matters, usually in return for certain promises or policy commitments.
