Wee Jeck Seng wastes no time on first day back in Parliament

Right after he was sworn in as Tanjung Piai MP, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng grabbed the opportunity to raise questions in the Dewan Rakyat on measures to protect and boost national food safety and to be less dependent on imported products.

Speaking to reporters later on Monday (Nov 18), Jeck Seng said that he felt happy to be back and represent the voice of his constituency, added that he will make sure that the government takes heed of the plight of the people of Tanjung Piai, especially the challenges faced by the fishing community.

Meanwhile, MCA president and Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong said he was touched by Jeck Seng’s immediate initiative to raise questions in the Dewan Rakyat.

Ka Siong said MCA will not be complacent over its landslide victory and will continue to improve themselves as a party.
