Volleyball slap: Coach's license revoked, says Hannah Yeoh

The volleyball coach who was caught on camera slapping his players recently will no longer be allowed to train in school, says Hannah Yeoh.

The Youth and Sports Minister and Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek made the announcement at a press conference on Thursday (Jan 12) after the Malaysian Volleyball Association (Mava) revoked the coach’s license via its legal and disciplinary committee.

Yeoh also said Education Ministry would work closely with the National Sports Institute to equip coaches at schools with the required certification to ensure a safe, healthy, mutually respectful environment, and free from any form of harassment and abuse.
