Use of MyKad under skds reduces subsidised fuel leakages - Armizan

The implementation of targeted fuel subsidies through the use of MyKad under the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS) has successfully reduced leakages of subsidised fuel, although several aspects still require further improvement.

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said the mechanism serves as a risk-management measure to ensure that subsidies are channelled to the intended and eligible groups while reducing the misuse of subsidised fuel.
