US reviews policies on Afghan immigrants, says Trump after National Guardsmen attack

US President Donald Trump has called for his government to re-examine Afghan immigrants who entered the country during his predecessor's administration, after two National Guard soldiers were shot and critically wounded by an Afghan suspect in Washington on Nov 26.

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services said it had stopped processing all immigration requests relating to Afghan nationals indefinitely.
