US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the National Archives on Sept 25, capping a three-day summit that showcased personal diplomacy rather than major breakthroughs in economic relations.

However, both sides did say that they had agreed to build a constructive US-China relationship of strategic stability based on mutual respect, fairness and reciprocity.
