US air traffic control staffing and flight delays hit for third day, Trump warns of job cuts

Air traffic control staffing issues are delaying flights for a third straight day at numerous US airports as the government shutdown continues due to an impasse in the Senate for the short-term spending bill for federal agencies.

President Donald Trump said his administration plans to eliminate a number of government programmes as a result of the shutdown.
