Umno seeks broader role as ‘integrated platform’ under Rumah Bangsa concept, says Khaled

Umno is seeking to reposition itself as a central political and intellectual platform through its “Rumah Bangsa” initiative.

Speaking at the party’s 80th anniversary on Saturday (May 2), vice-president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the initiative reflects Umno’s renewed vision to move beyond being a conventional political party and instead function as a broader national institution.

Khaled, who chairs the Rumah Bangsa Committee, said the concept aims to strengthen Umno’s role as a stabilising force and create an open space for engagement with not only members but also professionals, youth, non-governmental organisations and intellectuals.
