Two dead after vessel collides with oil rig off Sarawak

An oil and gas maintenance vessel, named Dayang Topaz, collided with the oil rig it was serving offshore Miri in northern Sarawak Tuesday (Oct 27) morning, claiming the lives of two of its crewmen.

According to Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) director-general Maritime Admiral Datuk Mohd Zubil Mat Som, the vessel rammed into the beramB oil platform after its anchor cable broke in bad weather.
