Transport Ministry announces incentives for port usage during off-peak hours

The Transport Ministry will offer incentives of up to RM15 to hauliers entering Port Klang during off-peak hours, in a bid to ease congestion and improve logistics efficiency.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke, speaking after chairing the National Logistics Task Force meeting in Putrajaya on Thursday (May 29), said hauliers will receive RM15 for dual movements and RM7.50 for single movements made during off-peak periods.

Additionally, importers and exporters who shift at least 50% of their haulage operations to off-peak hours by July 1, 2025, will be eligible for extended free storage time at the port.
