Transport firm's permit suspended after accident that killed unborn baby

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) and Land Public Transport Agency (Apad) have been told to act on a transportation company and a lorry driver over an accident at Grik, Perak that resulted in the death of an unborn baby and severe injuries to the expectant mother.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said in a Facebook post Tuesday (Dec 13) that the company's operating permit will be suspended until an audit on all its lorries has been conducted and approved, adding that he will not compromise with the driver and the company which have endangered the public on the road.
