Three men fined, ordered to do community service for littering cigarette butts

The Ayer Keroh Sessions Court in Melaka on Wednesday (April 8) handed down fines ranging from RM500 to RM700, along with community service orders, against three men who admitted to littering cigarette butts in public spaces.

Crucially, this marks the first prosecution in Melaka under Section 77A of the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Act 2007, also known as Act 672.
