Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad on Friday (June 23) announced the new electricity tariff for domestic and non-domestic use following revision of the government's subsidy scheme to be more targeted.

He said up to 99% consumers will not be affected by the tariff hike but high-consumption domestic users whose current monthly electricity bill is at least RM708 will see a minimum 25% increase in charges.
