Indonesia officially started human trials of China’s Sinovac COVID-19 candidate vaccine on Aug 11 in Bandung, West Java.

The trial will see half of the 1,620 volunteers injected with the potential vaccine, while the other half will get a placebo.
Some volunteers spoke to The Jakarta Post about their reasons for joining the trials.
