A transgender beauty pageant that was recently held in Nakhon Phanom became a hit among locals who paid tickets where proceeds were channeled to the Red Cross Society.
The Miss Beauty Ban Phaeng 2016 saw transgender beauties from all over the province vying for coveted titles.
The winners for the first and second place were rewarded 7,000 baht (USD 196) and 5,000 baht (USD 140) respectively.
Special titles like 'Miss Popular' was judged based on the number of flower garlands given to the beauties. And one of the most bizarre titles at the pageant was the Miss "Attempts to be Beautiful".
