Local airlines need to take the initiative in tackling flight shortages to popular destinations during peak seasons, says Anthony Loke.

The Transport Minister on Wednesday (Feb 7) called on airlines to emulate efforts made by Batik Air, which has just commenced an extra daily flight to Sibu for the Chinese New Year period.
