Syria truce breaks down amid Ghouta airstrikes

Syrian government warplanes struck the eastern Ghouta region on Tuesday and Damascus accused rebels of shelling a safe route out, despite a Russian call for a five-hour truce in the region. Over 500 people have been killed and thousands injured in a week of fighting in Ghouta - a major target for President Bashar al-Assad.
