Syed Saddiq slams cutting of critical allowance for new govt staff

Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman took to Twitter to slam the recent announcement by the Public Service Department to stop paying the critical service allowance for new staff starting next year.

In a circular, the department said the critical allowance is not permanent and is subject to revisions every five years, adding that the last review was done 12 years ago.
