Syed Saddiq says romance with Bella Astillah incomparable to Tun Dr Mahathir & Tun Dr Siti Hasmah

Published on 2 Oct 2026 9:48:16 PM

Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has dismissed comments likening his relationship with Malaysian singer-actress Bella Astillah to that of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his late wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali.

Syed Saddiq said that while the comparison was made with good intentions, he did not believe his relationship with Bella could be compared with the 70-year marriage of Dr Mahathir and Dr Siti Hasmah.
