Suitcase murder: Jealousy, financial woes believed to be motives, say Sibu cops

Jealousy and financial problems are believed to be the reasons behind the gruesome murder of a woman whose body was found stuffed into a suitcase and dumped on Jalan Aman in Sibu, Sarawak.

Sibu OCPD Asst Comm Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said that on Thursday, adding that police were still investigating the death of Heng Meow Lin, 37, from Perak, whose body was found by a passerby at about 6.45am on Oct 6.

Meanwhile, the two suspects, a man and a woman, had their remand extended for another seven days by the Magistrate's Court until Oct 19.
