Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said a rationalisation of subsidies needs to be carried out to ensure government subsidies are utilised by those who need it the most.

He said in his speech before launching the Madani Medical Scheme and the national-level Madani Afiat programme at the Sultan Azlan Shah roundabout in Meru, Perak on Sunday (Oct 1).
