Step up or step down, CJ warns judges who delay grounds of judgment

The Chief Justice, Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh, has issued a stern warning to judges who delay delivering written grounds of judgment in the High Courts, urging them to “step up or step down.”

Speaking at the Opening of the Legal Year 2026 on Monday (Jan 12), he said that justice must be delivered without fear, favour, or undue delay.
