Speaker to make ruling on Kapar MP’s ‘insensitive’ cancer, autism remark

Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii told the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday that Kapar MP Dr Halimah Ali’s remarks on Feb 14 that Menu Rahmah may cause exposure to cancer, autoimmune disease, autism and among others, was deemed to be in contempt of Parliament and she should be referred to Parliament’s committee of privileges.

To this, Speaker Datuk Johari Abdul said he would make a ruling on Wednesday on the matter.
