The Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (Sirim) has been told to develop high-powered water pumps to address flood issues, says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The Deputy Prime Minister said this after visiting the SK Taman Kota Jaya temporary flood relief centre in Kota Tinggi, Johor on Tuesday (Jan 9).
