Shamsul Azri urges public service to act swiftly on GovTech report

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar has urged heads of departments, agency leaders and ministry secretaries-general to swiftly implement the recommendations of the Malaysia GovTech Flagship Report.

Speaking at the report's launch on Wednesday (July 22), he said digital transformation should be measured by its ability to reduce the time people spend dealing with government and make it easier for businesses to invest and grow.

He added that successful digital transformation depends on strong leadership, people and culture, with success measured by improvements in people's lives rather than the number of digital initiatives approved.
